Resilient Queensland Storymap
Helping Queenslanders strengthen their resilience to disasters is a key focus for governments and community organisations across the state.
Engaging the community in meaningful ways can be a challenge, particularly if a disaster has not occurred in recent times. The aim of the Resilient Queensland Storymap is to build a showcase of hundreds examples statewide of how different communities are being encouraged to learn about local disaster risks and take positive steps to be prepared and stay safe.
The stories (from 2017-2019) are grouped into the following categories:
- Education and preparedness
- Vulnerable communities
- Communicating risk
- Community wellbeing
- Resilient infrastructure.
