Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments

About the Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments

The Queensland Government is committed to strengthening disaster resilience so our communities are better equipped to deal with the increasing prevalence of natural disasters.

The United Nations Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR) Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030 was adopted by the United Nations Member States in 2015. The Sendai Framework Voluntary Commitments incentivise stakeholders to share commitments and initiatives towards the implementation of the Sendai Framework, and in turn the UNDRR can monitor progress and impact.
