The Information Privacy Act 2009 (IP Act) and its Queensland Privacy Principles (QPPs) set the rules for how Queensland government agencies handle personal information.
The Queensland Reconstruction Agency’s (QRA) Privacy Policy outlines how we manage personal information. It provides clear details on the following:

- whether the information or opinion is recorded in a material form or not.'

Security
We are committed to protecting personal information and take all reasonable steps to safeguard it from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. This website uses a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate to provide secure authentication and encrypt data exchanged between your browser and our servers. However, please be aware that the website does not support additional methods for securely transmitting sensitive information over the internet.

Privacy complaints
If you believe we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the IP Act, you can make a privacy complaint.
A complaint must:
- be in writing
- include the individual’s contact details
- provide a description of the privacy issue or concern
- be made within 12 months of the privacy issue occurring.

The complaint will be assessed and any necessary action taken. A written response advising the outcome of the complaint, including any remedies, will be provided to you within 45 business days.
