Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, Queensland Police Service & Moreton Bay Regional Council

In a huge recognition of Queensland’s ongoing commitment to disaster resilient communities, Moreton Bay Regional Council, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, and Queensland Police Service have all taken out top honours at the 2018 Resilient Australia National Awards.

The ‘My Resilient Community’ project is a collaboration between government and non-government agencies, business, volunteers and community organisations delivering customised local community resilience strategies throughout the Moreton Bay region.

The project was successful in last month’s Get Ready Queensland Resilient Australia Awards and was selected by the Australian Institute for Disaster Resilience to represent Queensland at the national awards ceremony held today at QUT Gardens Point.
