2021-22 Rainfall and Flooding - For individuals

A range of assistance has been activated through the joint State and Commonwealth Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) to address the immediate and long-term effects from the following events in the 2021-22 summer season:

  • Central, Southern and Western Queensland Rainfall and Flooding, 10 November – 3 December 2021
  • Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth, 29 December 2021 – 10 January 2022
  • South East Queensland Rainfall and Flooding, 22 February – 7 March 2022
  • Southern Queensland Flooding, 6 - 20 May 2022
Southern Queensland Flooding

Personal hardship financial assistance has been activated for people in affected areas. Eligible people can apply for the following assistance grants:  

The following three local government areas (LGAs) have been activated:

  • Lockyer Valley LGA 
  • Moreton Bay LGA (specific suburbs)
  • Southern Downs LGA (specific suburbs)

The Commonwealth Government has also activated the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment (External link) to support people adversely affect by the flooding and rainfall. This funding is administered by the Australian Government.

South East Queensland Rainfall and Flooding

Personal hardship financial assistance has been activated for people in affected areas. Eligible people can apply for the following assistance grants:  

The following 15 local government areas have been activated:

  • Brisbane City local government area (LGA) (specific suburbs)
  • Fraser Coast LGA (specific suburbs)
  • Gold Coast LGA (specific suburbs)Ipswich LGA
  • Gladstone LGA (specific suburbs)
  • Gympie LGA
  • Ipswich LGA (specific suburbs)
  • Logan LGA (specific suburbs)
  • Lockyer Valley LGA
  • Moreton Bay LGA
  • Noosa LGA (specific suburbs and streets)
  • North Burnett LGA (specific suburbs)
  • Redland City LGA
  • Scenic Rim LGA (specific suburbs)
  • Somerset LGA
  • Sunshine Coast LGA (specific suburbs and streets)
