Now open: 2019 Get Ready Queensland Resilient Australia Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2019 Get Ready Queensland Resilient Australia Awards.

Now in their 20th year, the awards celebrate innovation and best practice in disaster preparation and resilience and are open to all Queenslanders.

The awards highlight the work of individuals, volunteers, government agencies, schools, businesses and organisations that work to make Queensland’s communities safer while inspiring Queenslanders to build greater disaster resilience in their homes, workplaces and communities.

Last year, Queensland joint award recipients Moreton Bay Regional Council, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services and Queensland Police Service took out the national award at the Resilient Australia Awards for their “My Resilient Community” project.

My Resilient Community is a collaboration between government and non-government agencies, business, volunteers and community organisations to deliver customised local community resilience strategies.
