Available training programs

In Queensland our training for disaster funding programs is available within the Queensland Disaster Management Training Framework, and covers: Queensland Recovery Plan and recovery governance in Queensland; Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA); State Disaster Relief Arrangements (SDRA); and Event specific (exceptional circumstances assistance). QRA liaison officers also provide training for other funding programs.

Disaster Management Training Framework

The Queensland Disaster Management Training Framework is under responsibility of the Queensland Police Service (QPS). Under the Framework, QPS Emergency Management Coordinators with the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) provide training in conjunction with for councils, government agencies and NGOs.

QRA training

QRA RLO’s and RRO’s can provide more targeted training and assistance for the: 

  • Get Ready Queensland (GRQ) Grants Program
  • Queensland Betterment Fund
  • MARS portal for funding program applications
  • Pre-season preparedness.

Your QRA Regional Liaison Officer can provide advice in relation to available training under the Queensland Disaster Management Framework and training in relation to the abovementioned topics that can be tailored to your region and requirements.
