A $7 million Coordinated Emergency Fodder Support Package is available to eligible primary producers impacted by the North Queensland Monsoon Trough and Flooding commencing 24 December 2025 event, to assist primary producers with the extraordinary costs of undertaking emergency livestock fodder distribution to ensure humane treatment and welfare of stranded livestock.

Funding acknowledgement
This program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the event.

Producers wishing to access the Coordinated Emergency Fodder Support Package should contact their relevant local disaster management group or council to discuss assistance and arrangements for emergency fodder support.
