Betterment Fund - 2025-26 Flooding and severe weather

The $89.91 million Betterment Fund enables state/targeted council-owned essential public assets/infrastructure damaged by the Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji, Cyclone Narelle and Severe Weather, 24 December 2025 to 24 April 2026 event to be restored to a more resilient standard.  

Eligibility

This Betterment Fund is a closed round, with funding allocated to priority event damaged state/council-owned assets.

Funding acknowledgement

This Betterment Fund is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under Category D of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements 2018 (DRFA) to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji, Cyclone Narelle and Severe Weather, 24 December 2025 to 24 April 2026 event.
