Monsoon Trough State Recovery Plan outlines ongoing community support

The Queensland Government is continuing to support communities impacted by the historic monsoon flooding that devastated farmers, industry and individuals earlier this year.

The North and Far North Queensland Monsoon Trough State Recovery Plan 2019 – 2021 outlines the state’s long-term commitment to helping communities recover, rebuild and reconnect from the floods.

The plan builds on the extensive recovery effort to date, with more than $245 million in disaster funding delivered to impacted councils and more than $100 million in recovery assistance provided to primary producers, small businesses and not for profits.

The state recovery plan includes 13 Local Recovery Plans and maps the timeline for recovery and reconstruction projects moving forward.
