Registrations open for the $741 million Resilient Homes Fund

Queenslanders whose homes were damaged by floods can now register to raise, retrofit or have their home voluntarily bought back through the $741 million Resilient Homes Fund.

After the extreme rain event in late February 2022 Josef Selway, co-owner of Blue & Grae – a business in Albion that creates hand-made leather goods – was expecting his workshop to flood and prepared for what was thought to be the worst case scenario by moving things upstairs or putting them on top of high workbenches.

$741 million to improve resilience of flood-affected homes

$741 million resilient residential recovery package approved

The Queensland Government will work with the Australian Government, local councils and communities to deliver a $741 million program to support the recovery of flood affected Queenslanders and help improve the resilience of their homes to future flooding.
