This $25 million package Extraordinary Recovery Grants for small business and Not-For-Profit organisations is available to eligible small businesses and Not-For-Profit organisations who have suffered direct damage from the following eligible events:
- Tropical Cyclone Jasper, 13 - 28 December 2023
- South East Queensland Severe storms and rainfall, 24 December 2023 - 3 January 2024
The Circumstances Recovery Grants for small business and Not-For-Profit organisations will provide support for services, funds for recovery-related projects and a campaign to encourage consumers to shop locally within disaster impacted communities.
Eligible LGAs
The grants are available to eligible applicants for the following events and LGAs:
- Tropical Cyclone Jasper, 13 - 28 December 2023
- Cairns Regional Council
- Cassowary Coast Regional Council
- Cook Shire Council
- Douglas Shire Council
- Hopevale Aboriginal Shire Council (eligible for small business only)
- Mareeba Shire Council
- Tablelands Regional Council
- Wujal Wujal Aboriginal Shire Council
- Yarrabah Aboriginal Shire Council
- South East Queensland Severe storms and rainfall, 24 December 2023 - 3 January 2024
- City of Gold Coast
- Logan City Council
- Scenic Rim Regional Council
Funding acknowledgement
The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from Tropical Cyclone Jasper, 13 - 28 December 2023 and the South East Queensland Severe storms and rainfall, 24 December 2023 - 3 January 2024.
