Sport and Recreation Community Facilities Recovery Program – South Queensland Severe Storms and Rainfall
About
The $6.3 million Sport and Recreation Facilities Recovery Program will provide funding to sport and recreation organisations to undertake rebuilding and repair to sport and recreation facilities impacted by the following eligible event:
- South Queensland Severe Storms and Rainfall, 24 December 2023 - 3 January 2024
Assistance measures will include:
- support for initial scoping of repair and rebuilding works
- program administration support for clients
- delivery of the funding assistance within a robust grant program framework.
Eligibility
The assistance measures will be made available for the sport and recreation organisations with facilities located in the following council areas:
- City of Gold Coast
- Logan City Council
- Scenic Rim Regional Council
Funding acknowledgement
The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the South Queensland Severe Storms and Rainfall, 24 December 2023 - 3 January 2024 event.

Applications open on 1 August 2024 and close 31 January 2025 (5pm AEST) or earlier if funding is exhausted.
