Monitoring and evaluation

Program purpose

The purpose of the jointly funded Australian and Queensland Government (50:50) monitoring and evaluation program is is a requirement under Category C of the DRFA, following the North and Far North Queensland Monsoon Trough, 25 January – 14 February 2019 (Monsoon Trough). 

The National Monitoring and Evaluation Framework for Disaster Recovery Programs was established to provide a consistent evaluative framework that can be applied to the planning and evaluation of any disaster recovery program in Australia. The framework is designed to provide useful evaluative information that can be applied to the current program and future disasters.

The monitoring and evaluation program will monitor and review the extraordinary recovery package and assess its success in supporting disaster affected communities. future disasters.
