Today we'd like you to meet Joe. He runs Science Of Fitness in West End, Brisbane.
His gym was directly affected by the #seqfloods with knee height water going through the building causing damage to equipment, flooring and the walls.
Joe applied for an Extraordinary Disaster Assistance Recovery Grant to help him and his team get back on their feet.
Grants of up to $50,000 are available to eligible flood-affected South East Queensland businesses.
Joe encouraged any business owners in a similar situation to apply.
“I think (the grant) is a necessity, particularly if you’ve had any loss or damages, which a lot of people have,” Joe said.
