Low interest loans are now available for Queensland primary producers and small businesses in local government areas facing a massive clean-up operation in the aftermath of the flooding in Southern Queensland.
The assistance is made possible through the joint Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
The Commonwealth and Queensland Governments will each invest $360 million to support a new Phase 3 Floods Recovery Package for Queensland under Category C and D of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).

Disaster assistance has been extended to the three Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Charters Towers, Flinders and Richmond following the intense rainfall and flooding throughout Northern and Central-Western Queensland over the past month.
Personal hardship disaster assistance has now been extended to residents of impacted streets in the Moreton Bay Regional Council area to assist impacted individuals and families affected by the recent rainfall and flooding.
Assistance is being provided through the jointly funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Disaster assistance is now available for 12 Local Government Areas (LGAs) currently experiencing the latest rainfall and flooding event in Southern Queensland.
Disaster assistance has been extended to four additional Local Government Areas of Cloncurry, Douglas, Hope Vale and McKinlay following the intense rainfall which resulted in far reaching flooding throughout Northern and Central-Western Queensland last month.
Queenslanders whose homes were damaged by floods can now register to access grants to raise, repair, retrofit or have their home voluntarily bought back.
The $741 million Resilient Homes Fund will help make Queensland homes more flood resilient.
This is the largest home resilience program of its kind to ever be delivered in Australia.
Disaster assistance is now available in ten Local Government Areas after intense rainfall resulted in widespread flooding throughout much of Northern and Central-Western Queensland in April.
Additional grants and loans are now available for flood-affected primary producers, small businesses and sporting and community clubs to help them get back on their feet following the recent floods through South-East Queensland.
The Queensland Government will work with the Australian Government, local councils and communities to deliver a $741 million program to support the recovery of flood affected Queenslanders and help improve the resilience of their homes to future flooding.
It will include opportunities to retrofit homes with flood-resilient designs or raise homes out of harm’s way, in addition to working with local councils to explore voluntary buybacks to improve the safety of communities and Queenslanders affected by floods this disaster season.
