Primary producers and businesses impacted by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth and the Central, Southern and Western Queensland floods will have more time to apply for the Extraordinary Disaster Assistance Recovery Grants program, with the deadline now extended.
Low interest disaster assistance and essential working capital loans of up to $100,000 are now available to more small businesses and not-for-profit organisations following the latest round of devastating floods to inundate southern Queensland.
The assistance is being provided through the jointly-funded Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
In addition, Balonne Shire Council and City of Gold Coast Council can now be reimbursed through the DRFA for their clean-up and reconstruction costs.
Disaster assistance is available to primary producers in Barcaldine, Longreach and Winton after intense rainfall and flooding swept through Northern and Central-Western Queensland during April and May.
The assistance is made available through the joint Commonwealth-State Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) and will give primary producers in those areas access to freight subsidies of up to $5,000 and low-interest loans of up to $250,000.
