A total rebuild of Gympie Netball Association’s flood-ravaged facilities is expected to spark renewed interest in the sport locally and boost community spirit across the region.

Nearly $10.5 million in new funding will be shared among Queensland communities to help build greater disaster resilience and reduce the impacts of severe weather.

Ten of Queensland’s heritage-listed buildings damaged by the extraordinary rainfall and flooding events of 2021-2022 will be repaired and restored with the support of Heritage Disaster Recovery Grants from the Queensland and Australian Governments.
