Clean-up Program – South Queensland Severe Storms and Rainfall

About 

$20 million capped funding to specified local governments and state agencies to undertake assessments and conduct extraordinary clean-up activities following the following eligible events:

Concessional loans activated for north Queensland farmers, small businesses and not-for-profits

Flood affected north Queensland primary producers, small businesses and not-for-profits can now apply for loans to aid their recovery.

Disaster assistance extended to more Townsville suburbs and NQ councils

Financial assistance is available for flood affected residents in another 26 localities across the Townsville local government area, and for two additional north Queensland councils.

Hardship and council assistance available for flooded north Queensland communities

As a tropical low continues to bring torrential downpours to north Queensland, the Australian and Queensland Governments have activated disaster payments for eligible residents.

North Queensland flood recovery gets $8 million injection

An $8 million funding kick-start from the Australian and Queensland Governments will boost the clean-up and early recovery efforts of communities impacted by north Queensland’s flood emergency.

About Reconstruction Monitoring

QRA introduced Reconstruction Monitoring in 2011 following an extreme summer of disasters that saw widespread flooding and Severe Tropical Cyclone Yasi devastate much of Queensland.

Disaster recovery funding eligibility

There are a number of relief and recovery programs under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) for individuals, not-for-profit organisations, small business, primary producers.

Functional Recovery and Resilience Groups (FRRGs)

Functional Recovery and Resilience Groups (FRRGs) coordinate and support the planning and implementation of Queensland's whole-of-community recovery activities across the five functional lines of recovery and resilience – Roads and Transport
