Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Fund 2019-20

About the Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Fund 2019-20 (QRRRF)

The QRRRF builds on the former Queensland Disaster Resilience Fund.

A total of $13.1 million was made available in this round, comprising $4.8 million from the Australian Government and $8.3 million from the Queensland Government.

The first round of the QRRRF, which was wholly funded by the Queensland Government, saw $3.5 million allocated to 18 projects to improve the resilience of Queensland communities.

A further $9.6 million, funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments, will be allocated to 49 successful projects including electronic gauges and cameras for monitoring floodways, flood warning systems, replacing timber bridges and widening of emergency access trails for bushfire protection.

Across the two rounds 53 councils, four regional organisations of councils, two Queensland Government frontline agencies, a non-profit community organisation and Energy Queensland received funding.
