The Community Recovery and Resilience Officers program aims to address the immediate and long-term needs of communities impacted by the Northern and Central Queensland Monsoon and Flooding event, three community recovery and resilience officers (CRROs) will be embedded in eligible local government areas.
These two-year CRRO placements will ensure a locally led response is sustainably delivered over the long-term through widespread community engagement activities that:
- support the development of capacity and skills for individuals, businesses and service providers within affected areas
- help shape recovery and resilience plans for affected areas
- assist community groups with their Flexible Funding Grant applications
- promote disaster recovery and resilience information
- improve connections with other community recovery workers and local government.
Status
A program extension of time has been approved to 30 June 2027.

Funding acknowledgement
This $2.22 million program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from Northern and Central Queensland Monsoon and Flooding, 20 December 2022 - 30 April 2023.
