Announced as part of the $26.23 million Small Business and Tourism Recovery Support Package, the $19.8 million Small Business Support Program will support small business owners recover from the impacts of North and Far North Tropical Low, 29 January – 28 February 2025 event, by focusing on mental health support, financial security and building resilient enterprises.
Small Business Support Network - $3.86 million
Dedicated to disaster-affected small business owners, including tourism and rural businesses, providing free, independent, one-on-one case management with a strong focus on mental health support and financial security to recover from disaster and build more resilient enterprises.
Small Business Exceptional Assistance Grant - $15 million
Grants up to $15,00 will be available to provide financial assistance to small businesses located in impacted council areas, or operating within impacted council areas, who have lost income due to protracted isolation due to road access, power, and other services.
