Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Program
About
The Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Program (QRRRP) is Queensland’s new approach to providing a strategic, annual funding program, using Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) Efficiencies. It is jointly funded by the Commonwealth and State Governments through efficiencies realised during the delivery of Queensland’s DRFA reconstruction program. The QRRRP aims to improve the State’s resilience to future disaster events across three key streams:
- Stream 1 - Queensland Betterment Fund
- Stream 2 - Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Fund
- Stream 3 - Hazard and Risk Priorities Fund.
Round 1 of the QRRRP (2025-26) is currently under development and more information will be provided when available.
Funding acknowledgement
Announced by the Queensland Government as part of its 2025-26 Budget, the $450 million Queensland Resilience and Risk Reduction Program (QRRRP) will be delivered over five years and includes a Queensland Government commitment of $40 million per year towards the Queensland Betterment Fund to deliver high priority betterment infrastructure projects across the state.
