The $2.835 million Sport and Recreational Community Facilities Recovery Package will provide grants to assist with the clean-up and repair of impacted sports and recreational community facilities in the most impacted LGAs throughout the state following the Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji, Cyclone Narelle and Severe Weather, 24 December 2025 – 24 April 2026 event, for flood affected communities and vulnerable Queenslanders.

Eligibility

Package details are still under development. Eligible LGAs will be listed once details are confirmed and the package is in delivery.

Funding acknowledgement

The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji, Cyclone Narelle and Severe Weather, commencing 24 December 2025 event.
