As part of the $10.051 million Sport and Community Recreational Assets package, this $7.216 million Community and Recreation Assets initiative will provide grants to severely impacted local governments to assist with the clean-up and repair of priority multi use community recreational assets damaged as a result of the Queensland Monsoon Trough, Cyclone Koji, Cyclone Narelle and Severe Weather, 24 December 2025 – 24 April 2026 event.

- 11.Flinders Shire Council
- 12.Gladstone Regional Council
- 13.Gympie Regional Council
- 14.Isaac Regional Council
- 15.Lockhart River Aboriginal Shire Council
- 16.Mackay Regional Council
- 17.McKinlay Shire Council
- 18.Napranum Aboriginal Shire Council
- 19.North Burnett Regional Council
- 20.Western Downs Regional Council
- 21.Whitsunday Regional Council

Grant Program
Applications open: 10 August 2026
Applications close: 9 September 2026
Completion timeframe (Allowable Time Limit (ATL) - All approved activities must be completed by 30 June 2029
Final Acquittal due date - Close out submissions must be lodged by 30 September 2029
