Community and Recreational Assets Recovery - 2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Rainfall and Flooding

About 

The $27 million Community and Recreational Assets Recovery program is to repair and rebuild affected Queensland community and recreational facilities damaged by the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event through a grants-based Recovery Program.  Applications for funding will be prioritised based on the importance of the asset to the local community, including the social and economic benefits.

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include local governments established under the Local Government Act 2009 or the City of Brisbane Act 2010, and State departments or agencies approved under the event specific Package in the following locations:

  2. Bundaberg Regional Council
  3. Fraser Coast Regional Council
  4. Gold Coast City Council
  5. Gympie Regional Council
  6. Ipswich City Council
  7. Livingstone Shire Council
  8. Lockyer Valley Regional Council
  9. Logan City Council
  10. Moreton Bay City Council
  11. Noosa Shire Council
  12. Redland City Council
  13. Scenic Rim Regional Council
  14. Somerset Regional Council
  15. South Burnett Regional Council
  16. Southern Downs Regional Council
  17. Sunshine Coast Regional Council
  18. Toowoomba Regional Council

Funding acknowledgement

The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event.
