The $25.5 million total Community Relief Fund is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their clean-up efforts from the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event. The Community Relief Fund comprises a $15 million Community Relief Fund announced on 7 March 2025, and an additional $10.5 million Community Relief Fund Uplift announced on 7 July 2025.
The Community Relief Fund is available to eligible councils to undertake essential immediate recovery activities.
The package provides timely and immediate support to eligible councils to remove waste and debris, clean-up properties, community facilities, playground and parks, and undertake other make safe activities as required by council to progress with local recovery.
