The $2.4 million Small Business Recovery Support Package will offer support case workers and financial counselling to help small business operators recover and build more resilient businesses following the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event.
The objective of the package are to:
- Provide small businesses immediate financial counselling support to prevent insolvency and closure.
- Facilitate business recovery and resilience through targeted assistance and professional services.
- Support business owners in re-establishing operations, securing employment, and stabilising cash flow.
- Enhance local economic recovery efforts by ensuring small businesses can continue to serve their communities.
Funding acknowledgement
The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event.
