The $27.5 million Sport and Recreational Community Facilities Recovery package aims to repair and rebuild affected sport and recreational community facilities damaged by the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event. The funding will be delivered through open competitive grants to eligible applicants with a focus on ensuring infrastructure is built in accordance with current knowledge and practices for mitigating disaster impact and improving a community’s capability to recover more effectively.

The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event.
