About

The $27.5 million Sport and Recreational Community Facilities Recovery aims to repair and rebuild affected community sport and recreational facilities damaged by the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event and ensure infrastructure is built in accordance with current knowledge and practices for mitigating disaster impact and improving a community’s capability to recover more effectively through a grants-based Sport and Recreational Community Facilities Recovery Program.

Funding acknowledgement

The package is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Tropical Cyclone Alfred and Associated Severe Weather, 1 - 16 March 2025 event.
