Community and recreational assets - $150 million

Purpose
The Community and Recreational Asset Recovery and Resilience Program aims to support clean up and repair, and where economical, improve the resilience of community and recreational assets damaged as a direct result of the Central, Southern and Western Queensland Rainfall and Flooding, Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth and South East Queensland Rainfall and Flooding events.
Funding under this program will be available to assist local governments, state agencies, and non-profit sport and active recreation organisations to clean-up, repair and or build resilience of event damaged eligible assets, located in local government areas activated for disaster assistance under the following events:
- South East Queensland Rainfall and Flooding, 22 February - 7 March 2022
- Ex-Tropical Cyclone Seth, 29 December 2021 -10 January 2022
- Central, Southern and Western Queensland Rainfall and Flooding, 10 November - 3 December 2021
- Southern Queensland Flooding, 6 – 20 May 2022

- $45 million for Queensland non-profit sport and active recreation organisations

The program is jointly funded (50:50) by the Queensland and Australian Governments under Category C of the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA).
Key dates
State agencies and local government applicants:
- Expressions of interest (EOIs) close on 31 July 2022.
- Applicants will be advised of short-listed projects by 14 August 2022 and invited to submit detailed applications from 28 August 2022.
- Detailed Applications will close on 31 December 2022.
- All approved projects must be completed by 30 June 2024.
- All project close out reports are due to QRA within three months of completing the project, and by no later than 30 September 2024.

- Download the 2021-22 Community and Recreational asset Expression of Interest (EOI) form
- Refer to the guidelines and instructions in the form to ensure you provide the required data
- Use one EOI form to lodge multiple projects, one project per line
- Once complete, review for completeness against the guidelines
- Scan the signed certification sheet
- Email the scanned signed certification sheet along with the electronic excel EOI form to QRA at submissions@qra.qld.gov.au.
