Coordinated Fodder Support Package 2025 Western Queensland Trough

About

The $12 million Coordinated Fodder Support Package is available to eligible primary producers impacted by the Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and Flooding, 21 March - 19 May 2025 event. For this event, demand for fodder has seen an additional $7 million put towards the previously announced $5 million Coordinated Fodder Support Package, taking total investment to $12 million. Fodder can be used to sustain livestock and mitigate the impacts of flooding and loss of pasture in areas impacted by the floods. This Package allows for fodder to be purchased and transported by Local Disaster Management Groups (LDMGs) to eligible producers within the impacted area/s.

This program is jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland Governments under the joint Commonwealth-state Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) to support Queensland communities in their recovery from the Western Queensland Surface Trough and Associated Rainfall and Flooding, 21 March - 19 May 2025 event.

Producers wishing to access the Coordinated Fodder Support Package should contact their relevant local council to discuss arrangements for distribution.
